For ftilt only, if you don't chain into ftilt2, the initial ftilt does more damage and knockback, and chaining requires the chain input to come pre-emptively (which is very technically easy as ftilt is a very sluggish 13f). For jab, nair, and fair, the move chain is just what it is regardless of how you cancel it and works pretty exactly like a normal jab on any other character. Sora's jab, ftilt, nair, and fair each have independent chains of three normals you can do (very similar to most jab combos or Meta Knight's ftilt). With Sora's, it seems the rule is if it hits you clearly in the back the counter doesn't work, but otherwise it does. The counter has relatively little to say other than that it actually does seem to fairly effectively counter attacks from below, much unlike K.Rool's similar directional counter that is pretty strict about only countering attacks from the front.
Side-B cannot land during its animation you can slam into the ground with it and just keep moving until you spend all three moves. You can cancel the later parts of up-B into side-B, but the reverse isn't true. Side-B and Up-B both put you into helpless.
It's truly bizarre that 3rd and onward have an extra single frame of delay there's probably some arcane mechanic at fault for that. I checked this a lot chained Firaga seriously takes 16 frames for the first, 35 frames later for the second, and then all subsequent shots take an extra 36 frames. You can buffer Blizzaga out of Thundaga or Firaga out of Blizzaga quite easily, but you have to be a bit careful delaying your input to get the fastest possible Thundaga out of Firaga (or else you'll chain Firaga). Sora cycles which of his three neutral specials is active in a mostly obvious way. Pivot Grab: 10? (I am eternally awful at testing these)ĭown-B: 7 (first frame that can counter attacks)įor most DLC characters, I break down their unique mechanics here, but there's just not a lot of gimmickry here. This guy feels pretty solid to me, but time will tell I guess. This only includes the "hits on" frames for his various attacks things like active frames, endlag, or the frame data of "chained" moves like jab2 are not included as the basic start-ups tend to be the most relevant to instantly understanding a character's options, and team data extraction will have more detailed data for us in a few days.
